Excellent post, I have been trying all day to find the words to post my anger has been out of control. Never a JW but I have worked with a youth group from 10 to 20 in my spare time and the way the WT breaks up families is just unspeakable. In our organization we do not consider anyone an adult until they have reached the age of 20. When we have a youth in trouble we work with them or we have the parents get them into councilling. They most definitely are not put out on the streets to fend for themselves with no support system.

I so hope she played this for her parents. I hope this WOKE her parents up how LOVING (NOT) these Elders are!!! I know I would never step foot in a KH after that experience. Yeap, flipper I am a red hot Italian lady and at her age I would have came across that table and a fist would have hit a couple of jaws. The problem with this religion is they have taught SUBMIT AND OBEY. It is all mind control and it is a cult. As long as they think they have the power they will use it and enforce it. Just like I told my mother when I was 12 or 13 you touch me one more time you will be picking yourself up off the floor.

hi why did one of your kind rob my child off me n is currently ruining their life telling them what to say so the court has to take extreme measures for my child to see me???

they're even happy to drag her to the doctor and brand her as mentally ill wholst promoting her conflicted n confused feelings instead of accepting im her mother.. im not a jehovas witness but a good person and a christian my dads an anglican priest im a law abiding good and good natured citizen yet they are messing up her head telling her to say she doesn't want to see,me as court has intervened saying she has to ?

her dad abandoned me pregnant and many years his junior.

I am so sorry your child is involved with the JWS please do everything you can to protect her. Do your research again go to JWFACTS . Listen to what the people on th I am forum have to say. I was never a JW but there are some very wise people here.

Ok a long time ago. Never a JW so it was ok for me to do this. I worked in upper management and the higher ups were really getting very concerned about our stress levels. They brought in this group of consultants to help us manage our stress better. The one technique which I learned and still use today was self hypnosis. It is where you sit very quietly, soft music and tell your body to relax progressively to relax passing the energy from the head into the neck, then the shoulders, then arms and so on.

It is an amazingly relaxing experience if done the right way. Stress is released and the head and body feels completely different. I am sure there is a name for this but I have no clue.

What Were Your Elders Real World Jobs?

we all know that education is severely demonized in this religion.

and that the elders are appointed based on how many meetings they attend, hours they put in on the ministry and general attitude to other elders (as apposed to, you know, actual theological training and counseling) - so my question is, what were your elders occupations outside the kingdom hall?.

After reading this forum I have determined that the "Elder" was over qualified and most definitely working in Satan's organization (just saying, not sure how that worked but he bent a lot of the rules)

PS I started to answer when this had only one answer then 2 little two year olds got out of hand.LOL Lots of professional have popped up since.

tl;dr: if you live either in scotland or in other parts of uk and you don't mind traveling, you might be able to help a fellow ex-jw by being present during a courtcase where she alone has to face more than two dozens of jws who have ruined their business.

If in fact 25 employees did walk out of a small business because of a stupid teaching of the WT virtually immediately closing the down and think this woman has a very legitimate case for monetary damages.

Don't get me wrong, but I find it funny how some of you while IN as Elders you preach one thing but once you see the light you come on the forum and pretty much have forgotten what it was you used to preach!!

Don't take it personally everyone who comes here with breaking news and who does not already have media releases and court documents to backup their story gets bashed. Case in point is the guy currently posting from Spain he got bashed so bad when he first started posting. Yeap!! Just carry on.

As to a small business requiring 25 employees hotel/restaurant very understandable, as someone previously stated. In the US and especially for women Grant money for start up companies is very plentiful and in some states between Federal Grants and State Grants a woman can open a business with very little out of pocket money. All they need is a very well written business plan.

When 25 employees do nIt show up one day it would be impossible to open. If a restaurant has food in its refrigerator it has expiration dates by the time she would have hired new employees and trained the staff most of the food would have spoiled. She would also have incurred expenses to advertise for staff and then advertise that she is now reopened for business once she rehired staff. I would also suspect that she has some type of uniforms that need to be ordered. There are bills to pay in the interim with no income coming in. Hey all this cost money!!!

Well like someone said above Cult mind control from the RC said don't talk to the df, don't associate with the df well I hope this woman and judge throw these people right under the d.... bus for the lack of business etiquette. I hope the h... is gives each and everyone of them a raving review on any job referral that may come up in the future. I sure know I would. I know one question when I am hiring is would you rehire this person? Well in this case each it would be NO!!

Did any of you think about the fact that maybe once she was baptized into this wicked Cult she did not realize that she would be disfellowshiped and felt sorry for all these poor loving people she met in the KH and decided to give them jobs. What would you have done when you were IN THE TRUTH? !?!? Where would you have hired employees, would you have gone out to Satan's world and hired employees? Think about it before you judge?

Jehovah's Witnesses ARE Christians, why do so many ex JW's deny this?

jehovah's witnesses accept jesus as christ, the son of god.

they try, in their own way, to live by his teachings and imitate him.

they pray, read the bible and meet together regularly for worship.. i won't minimise any of the harm and damage they cause but for the life of me, i can't see how anyone can credibly deny that they are christians.. why do so many former jws have a problem with this?

Never a JW but I left Religion and now have learned a lot about the JW Religion. When the "Elder" sent that email saying goodbye and no real explanation, I was not going to buy this sudden no warning ending to 5 years. When I asked for an explanation I was told to read Acts. Nice try, I told him to read the end of Acts it says to meet the accuser face to face. And by the way now I have you in a string of lies. How Christian is this attitude? I also sent him pages of Bible verses on Love your neighbor, Giving to other, doing for other and many verses on lying and forgiveness. I got in return NOTHING about the end of Acts (was not about a face to face) AND 20 days of Bible verses and sermons of how I was reading the Bible incorrectly based on the Bible verses I sent him.

As I had said to him over 5 years and again in the final emails I left Religion because a lot of so called Religious people call themselves Christians yet they have no idea how to act like a true Christian. Ultimately what made me walk away from Religion was men of the cloth LYING. One gaining personal information about me from a hospital he had no business having; I had a delightful lady working for me her ----- Elder husband worked in another department same level as I, doing his secretary during lunch, everyone in the company knew it but the wife; I was a member of the same church for 40+ years helped out with everything as much as possible then diagnosed with cancer and marriage fell apart all in a matter of 4 months went to minister who married us, we will be there for you -- not a person including him showed up and we lived one block from this enormous church.

Here is a line I read in a book one I have shared it with my girlfriend who is a minister I know for a fact she lives by it. I also for 5 years shared it with the "Elder" on many occasions now I just wonder if it ever meant anything.

Are you walking with God or are you making the appearance of walking with God?

The Bible clearly states no lying. To love your neighbor. Take care of your family. I also believe there are part about forgiveness.
